Ten on Tuesday

Ok. So I know I still need to post about all the fun we had this past weekend, but I haven't had a chance to upload pictures yet, so that'll have to wait. For now, I found a fun little space-filler/time-waster on this super cute blog, so I thought I'd play along! Feel free to take it to your own blog and do the same.

1. What is your cleaning style like?
I didn’t know there was such a thing. Is obsessive a style? Wait a sec...let's be totally honest here. Before Claire came, I was obsessive. Now, sometimes it just isn't possible for me to clean things right away as I'd like to. So I just keep holding/playing with Claire and try not to stress over it too much until I get to it when I can. She's so worth it, but it still stresses me. Also, I never realized it until I started writing things down, but I really blame a lot on my child. Is that wrong?

2. What is your favorite thing to add to an outfit to take it from casual to classy?
A nicer pair of flip flops? Do you know me?? Casual is about all I know. But I'm casual in a classy way: no excessive trashy clevage, nothing see-through, etc. So that counts, I say. Sorry if you like to show excessive clevage or see-through clothes. No offense intended. But somewhere far away in the attic sits a tub full of my pre-baby non-maternity "grown-up" clothes I had for that one year I had an office job that required people to actually see me. I wonder if I'll ever wear those again...

3. Do you like stormy weather?
I love it. Like, super puffy heart love. As long as I don't have to drive in it...other unpredictable drivers make me nervous in bad weather.

 4. What is your favorite cold treat on a hot day?
An ice cold beer. Or a delicious ice cream cone from the Texas Stop Sign (that's Dairy Queen for those of you not from East Texas)
  5. What is your favorite warm treat on a cold day?
Hot chocolate. Or homemade beef stew with some fresh French bread. Yes, please!

6. Who is your favorite animated character?
I don't have one. Claire isn't into cartoons yet, but I'm sure in the next few years I'll develop a preference for one.


7. What do you keep your jewelry in?
A bright orange Nike shoe box. Classiest. Answer. Ever. See, in our old apartment, I had a huge jewelry drawer where I kept all my fabulous, chunky, obnoxious jewelry. When we moved, I packed it all up in the shoe box, where it has stayed ever since. I don't see much jewelry-wearing in my near future. Claire has discovered my hair recently, so I don't need to give her anything else to pull on. Oh! See?? There I go again blaming the baby! I really do love her, I promise.

 8. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme?I suppose all the rooms have a "rustic" theme, if you wanna throw a label on it. Claire's room I suppose could be classified as cowgirl, but not really.

 9. Do you watch any interior design TV shows – if so, what is your favorite?
No. I watch House Hunters occasionally though. I don't have the creativity/patience for the decorating part.


10. When was the last time you did something risk-taking?
I guess when Claire was born? I really didn't have a choice though. Man, I need to get out more. Thanks for pointing out how safe and boring I am.
